Speech and Language Therapy sessions

Therapy sessions - £75 each

Therapy sessions can be held at your home, at your child's nursery/school or online.

Therapy sessions usually last for one hour. They consist of 45 minutes direct work with the child/young person and then 15 minutes liaison and administration. The fee includes resources, preparation for the session and time spent writing up notes etc.

Following your child's assessment, Laura Rowley-Howard will agree some therapy targets with you. The therapy sessions will work towards these targets at a pace that is right for your child.

Some young people may require a block of weekly sessions (perhaps 4-6), however others may require less frequent therapy sessions.

A therapy session includes:

Fun activities to develop your child's speech and language skills.
Demonstration of activities that your child can continue to practice at home or at nursery/school. Resources will be provided.
Feedback and discussion of progress.

Nursery/School Visits - £75 per hour

Visits can be made to your child in their educational setting in order to:

Observe how your child communicates in their educational setting as part of a detailed assessment.
Carry out assessment and therapy sessions.
Demonstrate activities / train staff to support your child.
Meet with parents/carers and education staff to agree a plan for supporting your child.
Attend meetings to discuss your child's support and progress.
Share recommendations with education staff.

Mileage

For all assessment and therapy sessions, travel within 5 miles of CT15 is free. Travel beyond that distance is charged at 45p per mile.
